Recurring billing is the automated process of generating and sending invoices to a client on a fixed schedule — weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually — without manual action each time. In Rebill, you set up the client, line items, and frequency once, and the system creates and emails the invoice automatically on the scheduled date.
When to use recurring invoices
Recurring invoices are perfect for repeat billing situations, such as:
- Monthly retainer clients (e.g. bookkeepers, designers, consultants)
- Subscription-based services
- Regular cleaning, gardening, or maintenance services
- Monthly rent or lease payments
- Any client you invoice for the same amount every period
Instead of manually creating and sending the same invoice every month, you set it up once and Rebill takes care of it.
How it works
When a recurring invoice is active:
- On the scheduled date, Rebill automatically creates a new invoice with your specified line items
- The invoice is emailed to the client (and optionally sent via WhatsApp)
- The next invoice date is automatically calculated and shown in your recurring invoices list
- You can still see all generated invoices in your regular Invoices list
Premium feature
Recurring invoices are available on the Premium plan only. To upgrade, go to Settings → Subscription.
